Harmony in game design

Special shout out to the Seattle Bronies~

Ever since I was little I always though “gee, wouldn’t it be great to have my own arcade machine?”, well now it is a reality and even better than I imagined (because ponies).

This is not a restoration of an already built machine, it is a complete build from scratch.

Thank you to Jaemie and Grey for helping me construct this and to my father for letting me invade his garage for several weekends.

Featured are 8 way joysticks and each main button corresponds to a cutie mark of mane ponies for player one and background ponies for player two.

The first game you see running in the video is Double Down Casino (hey, it may not be an arcade game but you can’t fault me for advertising our game), you can play it for free at:

The second game playing is Galaga ’88, because you can’t have an arcade machine that doesn’t play Galaga.

My Little Pony is the sole property of Hasbro. This project is merely a tribute. I also do own copies of the games featured in this video.

Well that didn’t take long, after a two week long job search I finally got that job with the popular Facebook games group (I won’t say the name here, but not zynga).

Having finished my first week of work here I have to say that I am loving this job so far and hope to bring a lot of entertainment to the world through my contributions to it.

That said, aside from the various optimization that I’m still applying to the MLP game I have to say that it seems that not a lot of work is going to get done on that for quite a while. But that is not a problem as there are plenty of other pony games for people to partake in already such as these lovely people:

Feels good to start of the year with a more respectable URL behind our name, not that we’re a serious team to begin with.

Still, someday when Melodious Games is a big name developer we’ll already have handled figuring out what domain we want.
